So today was the first time we visited the barns as a whole family since we became the legal owners of them.

One of the good guys
So today's post is a shout out to the lovely people at David Martin
Estate Agents often get a bad reputation but these guys were awesome.
I loved everything about them, from their non-pushy approach to their super up market For Sale board!!
If anyone is looking for help selling a house in the Chelmsford/Colchester area we heartily recommend them.
Check em out

In the Money!!
Well at least briefly! 😂
Doesn't matter that it's not going to stay there very long. Or that it's all already earmarked for various contractors/sub-contractors. Or that we ultimately need to pay it back to the lender.
Right now this is the most money we've ever had in our current account and we're not likely to see it looking this much in credit ever again! 😜

Introducing Project Bucky
So today is a big day....
About six months ago Steve & I were casually surfing Rightmove (as you do) and stumbled across a couple of barns which were up for sale.
We’ve always had an desire to do a self build and I guess we’ve just reached an age where it was now or never!! We dubbed it Project Bucky (named after Bucky Barnes - we wanted something barn related and I’m a big Marvel fan).
Fast forward to today and we have sold our old house, moved into a rental and have just completed the purchase of these barns:
They are 120 years old and it’s going to be exciting to give them a new lease of life.
Hoping to post as the project progresses so we have a lovely record of how things went
Xx
