First Stage Flooring

So Scott and his team have been very busy over they last few days.  

They've laid something called Cellotex (I think that's what its called.  I keep referring to it as sellotape but I know that's not it!)

Then today they put down the metal rods over which they're gonna be pouring in the concrete.

They also dug a really big hole for the septic tank.  If you'd have said to me a few years ago that I'd be excitedly taking photos of metal rods & septic tanks I'd have laughed in your face but who knew!!

Spray Painting Fun

Things are moving on and Scott has already dug out the old base and has put down the first stage of the new floor...

Today we popped over to do a bit of spray painting to mark out the internal walls and en suites - can you tell what it is yet?? :)

Then before we left we marked out the back fence line.

It was a beautiful sunny day and it was great to see things taking shape.

Day 1: Here We Go!!

So after a fair few weeks of inactivity, our lovely builder Scott started work on our project.  The first few weeks will be mainly preparing the site and groundworks.

We plan to try and take photos from these same three locations below whenever we visit to see how things progress over time.  We'll see how that goes.

Steve popped over there today with Ben who was very happy to lend a helping hand.

He's got the builder vibe down - complete with a nice cup of coffee to keep him going!

Hopefully, things will move at pace from here on out.
